Official Contest Rules

These Official Contest Rules ("Rules") govern all prize shows conducted through the RIOT platform operated by Writeout LLC ("Sponsor").

1. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.

3. Eligibility

Shows are open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Writeout LLC and their immediate family members are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

4. Show Period

Each prize show has a specified start and end time displayed in the RIOT app prior to the show going live. Entries submitted outside the show window are not eligible.

5. How to Enter

Download the RIOT app and create a free account
Join a scheduled prize show during its live window
Submit creative responses to each prompt within the time allotted
Receive votes from other players during the voting phase

No other method of entry is valid.

6. Judging and Winner Determination

Winners are determined solely by the number of votes their responses receive from other players during the live voting phase. In the event of a tie, the tying player whose response was submitted earliest will be declared the winner. All determinations are final.

7. Prizes

Each prize show's reward, if any, is displayed within the app before the show begins. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes is permitted except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

8. Winner Notification

Winners are notified in the RIOT app at the conclusion of each show. If a prize cannot be delivered due to account ineligibility or incomplete information, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner at Sponsor's discretion.

9. Conditions of Participation

By participating, you agree to:

Be bound by these Rules and Sponsor's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Allow Sponsor to use your display name in connection with show results
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, uses bots or automation, or otherwise violates these Rules.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, network outages, or other factors outside its control that may affect show participation. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONSOR'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE VALUE OF THE PRIZE ASSOCIATED WITH THE AFFECTED SHOW.

11. Disputes

All disputes arising from these Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. By participating, you waive any right to a jury trial and agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis.

12. Winner List

To request a winner list for any completed show, contact us at legal@writeout.co within 60 days of show completion.
