Terms of Service

Welcome to RIOT, a live interactive game show platform operated by Writeout LLC ("Writeout," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the RIOT mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use RIOT. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to participate in live shows. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current account information
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
• Notify us immediately at legal@writeout.co if you suspect unauthorized access
• Not create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Content

RIOT allows you to submit creative responses to prompts during live shows ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant Writeout a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and transmit your content in connection with the Service
• Represent that you own or have the right to submit the content
• Agree not to submit content that is illegal, obscene, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable

We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

4. Prizes and Shows

Some RIOT shows offer prizes or rewards. Prize details, eligibility criteria, and contest rules are displayed within each show prior to its start. See our Official Contest Rules for full details.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to participate in shows
• Coordinate with other players to manipulate voting outcomes
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Submit responses containing hate speech, threats, or sexually explicit content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

The RIOT name, logo, app design, and all content created by Writeout are the exclusive property of Writeout LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. In-App Purchases

RIOT may offer optional in-app purchases ("Virtual Items") such as virtual currency or cosmetic items. Virtual Items have no real-world cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRITEOUT LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
